Focus of the Month - April 2014
Each one of us has different needs, and understanding what works best for you is the first step to finding more happiness. According to Dr. Barton Goldsmith, the following actions may increase your happiness.
Be with those who make you smile.
Hold on to your values.
Accept the good, even the very little ones.
Imagine the best. Picture getting what you really want.
Do things you love.
Find purpose. Be a part of something greater than yourself.
Listen to your heart. You are the only one that knows what fills you up. Just be smart.
Push yourself, not others. You are responsible for your happiness, stop blaming others.
Be open to change. It will happen, so make back up plans and emotionally prepare.
Bask in the simple pleasures. Treasured memories, silly jokes, starry nights, and warm days.
